Since she was a little girl, Betsy has loved to create. From using her mother’s scrap fabrics to fashion purses to using found objects and semi-precious stones to create wearable art, Betsy is happiest when she is creating! Fueled by her genuine love of nature Betsy is influenced by its broad variety of colors and textures. Turquoise, quartz, citrine, amethyst, crystal and pearls are just a few of the many beads she employs in her one of a kind pieces.
Betsy grew up the youngest of ten children, all of whom have their own unique way of expressing their creative talents. Before she became a jewelry designer, she practiced other artistic mediums including print art, painting, and textiles. Her eye for the feminine aesthetic led her to focus on making jewelry. Betsy’s jewelry designs range from earthy and ethnic, girly and glitzy, to fun and funky! The pieces she creates are all original designs, many one of a kind and each one handcrafted. Betsy is a graduate of the University at Albany and lives with her family in Delmar, NY.
